Bob the director, once gave Adam real worms to put in his pants

But it was cool working with all those real worms

the kid who played Adam Simms, Austin Rogers, once actually threw up during a scene

he was supposed to fake throw up with cream of mushroom soup, but hated the taste and actually threw up

it was crazy, they actually kept the camera rolling

it was a great experience working with Bob Dolman he was cool with all the kids

mostly just cracking up on camera and not being able to stop laughing and ruining a lot of takes

Ryan & Adam, how did you guys get interested in the movie ... and about how long did it take you to actually get your parts?

I started acting when I was 7.

It was something I wanted to do ever since I saw "Home Alone"

the auditions took about a month before I got the part

my grandparents are actors and got me interested in it

i originally was up for the lead, billy, and then he got the part

but they wanted to have me in the movie anyway, and created this part, Benjy

I stayed as the bully the whole time

Adam I saw you in "12 Dogs" did you find it hard to cry in that film and then to be a complete different character in Worms

yeah, i usually play drama, so to be a bully was a bigger change for me

but i could still play a bully...i hope!

it was different than anything i'd done before

A question that I see come up a lot, Adam, is how you do crying scenes. Is there a technique you have?

i have to be quiet and get focused, and think about something really sad

i like to play my psp, go swimming, go to movies, and hang out with my friends

Ryan and Adam, what were the auditions like for the roles? Did they just have you read lines, or have you interact with another actor (or actress)?

For the auditions, they took a scene from the movie and we had to act it out

Adam Hicks
If you get far enough in the auditions, then sometimes they have you act with other kids that are up for parts

Adam Hicks
i read with Luke Benward, who ended up playing Billy

Ryan Malgarini
i put my audition on tape with my camcorder...we had to do it several times to get it right

then i sent it in to the casting director because I couldn't go in person for the first audition

You two must of had some real good support to become such great actors. What advice do you have for your fans to help them pursue their dreams?

Adam Hicks
I would tell them they have to love it to do it because you go to hundreds of auditions and maybe get one part

you have to be extremely dedicated

if you are dedicated then hopefully something will come

the friends that i knew from before treat me the same, but you have to be careful about your new friends

and we have to go to class a certain number of hours a day

exactly...3 hours of school a day, then 7 hours of work

Life in Las Vegas is hot and can be a lot of fun...but since we're under 21 we can't do a lot of what the city's famous for

we were gone for a month and a half

we also did some reshoots for a week last spring
